Applying a pre-spaced vinyl decal is straightforward when you follow the right steps. Every order includes application tape, a squeegee and an instruction sheet — this guide walks you through a bubble-free finish on cars, windows and laptops. For vehicle sizes first, see social media car stickers.
Before you start
Work in a shaded area between 15°C and 30°C if possible. Avoid applying in direct hot sun — the adhesive activates too quickly and makes repositioning difficult. The surface must be clean, dry and free of wax, silicone and dust.
What you need
- Your pre-spaced decal with application tape (included)
- Squeegee (included with every order)
- Mild soap and water, or isopropyl alcohol for final wipe
- Microfibre cloth
- Masking tape (optional, for hinge method on large decals)
Installation steps
- Clean and dry the surface. Wash with mild soap, rinse and dry completely. Wipe with isopropyl alcohol and let evaporate — do not touch the area with bare fingers after cleaning.
- Position the decal. Hold it against the surface without removing backing. For large decals, use masking tape hinges along the top edge so you can flip the decal up cleanly.
- Remove the backing gradually. Peel the paper backing away while keeping the application tape and vinyl flat. Work from the centre outward with the squeegee using firm, overlapping strokes.
- Remove the transfer tape. Peel back at a sharp 180° angle, low and slow. If any letter lifts, lay the tape back down and squeegee that area again before continuing.
- Final press. Go over the entire decal once more with the squeegee, especially edges and corners.
After installation
